Bonnita (Bonnie) Boone is a distinguished insurance executive with over 38 years of experience as a broker and underwriter. She has held prominent positions at several leading firms, including Gallagher, Marsh, Alliant Insurance Services, Willis, and Continental Insurance Company. At J.P. West Inc., where she served as Executive Vice President, she played a pivotal role in expanding the large risk management account sector and developing strategies to navigate complex issues such as supply chain disruptions, pandemics, and cyber-attacks.

Bonnie's expertise spans professional liability, general liability, cyber liability, and other lines of coverage for a diverse array of clients, including manufacturing, financial institutions, public entities, biotech, healthcare systems, and academic medical centers. Her in-depth knowledge of captives and reinsurance has been instrumental in her success.

In addition to her extensive professional achievements, Bonnie has been a strong advocate for diversity and inclusion, co-chairing the Diversity and Inclusion efforts for Gallagher's Midwest Region and founding a networking group for women of color in the commercial insurance industry in 2013.

Bonnie's contributions to the insurance industry have been recognized with numerous honors and awards. She received the PLUS Excellence in Diversity award in 2022 and was named one of the 100 Most Influential African American Leaders in Business by the National Diversity Council in 2021. She is a 2020 Hall of Fame inductee by Insurance Business America and was honored by Savoy Magazine as one of the Most Influential Women in Corporate America in 2019. Her other accolades include the 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award from NAIAA, being named a Power Broker by Risk & Insurance magazine in 2008 and 2009, and being recognized as a Woman to Watch by Business Insurance in 2008, with special recognition in 2015.

Bonnie is also an active member of various industry boards, including the Women to Watch Foundation, the New York Association of Healthcare Risk Managers, and the NAAIA Foundation. She is a respected author and speaker, contributing her expertise to institutions such as Temple University, IRMI, RIMS, ASHRM, and IMAC.
